Heavenly wings
By: maindeluxure

"Spread your wings, little butterfly
Unearth my soul for a while
Come hug me, wish me luck
And let me ride on your back..."

They say butterflies take flight in our stomachs when we're happy or when we see the one we love. We feel those thousands of fluttering wings swirling inside, causing us to feel giddy.

But what becomes of these butterflies when love takes a darker turn?

Do they linger, trapped in the cavern of our chest? Wings heavy with unspoken words and unspoken tears?

Or perhaps they die.

A silent massacre brought on by jealousy's bitter sting or the crushing weight of sorrow.

If so, what a cruel gift it would be.

A bouquet of deceased butterflies.

A morbid elegy for a love that still breathes, yet feels as lifeless as the butterflies themselves.

Deer Godess

40 parts Complete

When a major event happens, seeing your daughter write her prayers as letters to her Deer Goddess is cute, and it's nice to see the kid not losing hope. Things get a little less cute when said Goddess shows up at your doorstep saying it's nice to have prayers again and decides to live with you, tending to your child's every whim.
