But her heart's barely healed from a traumatic breakup, and getting involved with the enigmatic Maddox might break her for good. So, she does what any sane person would do. She flees the country to get far away from the one person who makes her feel things she doesn't want to feel. But what she'd thought was a simple case of girl meets guy, girl runs away, has turned into something more like a fairy tale...or a nightmare. Plunged into a world of shifters, supernatural beings, and dangerous magic, Fia soon realizes there's far more to Maddox, and to the attraction between them than she'd ever guessed. Because after all, if there's one thing Fia knows, it's that happily ever afters are a myth, but villains, on the other hand, are very real.
