"People usually find me dull and boring, you know" she said, blowing air into her palms. The winds only seemed to be getting chillier as we sat beside each other; it was getting cold.
My head found a place on her shoulder, breathing in a sense of comfort as our bodies exchanged each other's warmth. "I think. . . I don't really mind this boring."
It was hard to hide the small smile that came wrapped with my words. I heard her chuckle. And with a shake of her head, she was blowing air inton her palms again.
"That's a first."
"Is it really though?" I raised my head, squinting my eyes at her. She halted, a soft sigh escaping her lips. "Sometimes it all feels like a dream", she murmured, her grey eyes lazily glazing over to mine.
"You, me . . . us"

Geovanni Have you ever gotten that feeling that somebody was watching you? And that person who was watching you wasn't normal. I have felt that way all of my life; but then again I felt as if I went missing nobody would even notice or care I was gone. I am 23 and just graduated from college. I was there an extra year because I had to take care of my family. I had to transfer back into the city and pick up the extra work because my mom died, and my dad became addicted to anything that would numb his pain. My little sister and brother would be lost without me here. But now I could care less. A cold breeze blew through my window waking me up from my thoughts. I looked over in the corner and saw that nothing was there. It was odd because I felt like someone well more like something was there. It had to be my imagination getting the best of me. I laid back in my bed and closed my eyes. Then all of a sudden I got the feeling I wasn't alone. But the really strange thing is that even if there was someone in here with me I felt safe. Jordan. I watched her as she slept. In fact I have been watching her since she was born. I have waited half a century to find that one person. I think I have finally settled on her. She was my choice. I know. After being in as many relationships as I have you know things. I felt my fangs tingle. Her blood smelled so sweet. Her heartbeat was steady and strong. I took my tongue and ran it across my fang. The temptation to indulge in her red liquid was far too strong. I let out a low growl and jumped out her window. I was ready for a hunt. "Did you see her Jordan?" "Yes, and tomorrow night you will turn her," "Why do I have to turn her?" The stars twinkled as the moonlight shone upon us as we stared at the sky. "People just don't understand," I thought aloud as I laid on the blanket next to my blue-eyed beauty. Well, not necessarily mine but you get it. "How so do you mean?" She whispered quietly as her gaze remained set on the stars. My eyes fell upon her curvy silhouette as she sat beside me with a bottle of tequila in her hand. "I mean that people just don't understand, they don't try to. They're all caught up in their problems and don't look at any bigger picture at all." I explain and take a swig of my water, only sitting up slightly. "Yeah," She sighed and untwisted the cap of her bottle. "People are stuck in their illusions of finding these realities they think they find, but really don't. They make themselves miserable by trying to find these realities when they really don't know what's best for them." Her confusing explanation didn't but did make sense, or maybe it was just the curves of her lips that can make everything make sense. "That does but does not make a lot of sense. Why would all of these people just make themselves miserable? I don't think they really try. Who tries to make themselves upset?" I banter gently with her, trying to understand what she hides in her head behind her long and wavy hair. "But don't you get it?" The words rolled smoothly off of her luscious lips and I lost myself in her voice. "People are so hung up in finding these realities but they don't realize that illusion is the first of all pleasures." "Are you... lost?" Someone asked, her tone impatient. I stopped scanning the room to find the woman behind the voice. I blinked. She had the most luminous blue eyes I had ever seen. Even in the dim glow of the bar they glowed brightly, like her pupils were some type of smooth stone at the bottom of a clear blue ocean. Within her blue there flickered tiny speckles of silver, which gave her an icy, somewhat stony appeal. But it was her slight, lopsided smile that erased any signs of wanting to be alone. No wonder this bar was so popular. "Uh, no," I said, holding up the Help Wanted sign I had snagged from the front window. The woman's cool eyes flickered between the sign and me. She didn't say anything, only looked slightly thoughtful as slender fingers raked through her long blonde hair. "What can you do?" She finally asked, definitely not expecting me to be able to do much of anything at all. She'd be right. "Anything and everything," I answered-lied-instantly, hoping I didn't look too desperate, didn't sound too eager. To be perfectly honest, I hadn't worked a day in my life. My hands were used to weekly manicures not hard labor. But desperate times call for desperate measures. The blonde appeared thoughtful again. Those magnificent eyes gave me a once over, slow and steady. You could see the cogs turning in her head as she considered it. I decided to try and sound more convincing. "I have many skills," I added. Okay, so I stole that from Xena, but I was hoping it worked as well for me as it did for her. The blonde lifted a sculpted brow and the smile was, once again, back on her lips. She seemed amused. Maybe she was a Xena fan? "Alright...
