Two years ago, the hidden walls of Gondolin fell to the wrath of demons and the spawn of Morgoth. Tens of thousands perished in the fire and hundreds more died on the road to the Havens of Sirion.

But now, as the second anniversary of that ill-fated day approaches, a loremaster, an ancient elven-lord, and a young spit-fire with a heart full of passion embark on a long journey to their fallen city, with the hope of reclaiming the artefacts from their city so that future generations might not forget what was lost to ash.

Yet before they leave, they must first contend with the people in their lives, say their goodbyes, and ready themselves for the tough journey ahead. Will Amathlithui come to terms with the role she must play in her children's lives? Must Curunarí choose between her sister and her beloved cousin? Will Galdor learn to care for himself just as he cares for others?
