University is where Blythe Morbid shines. An English literature student with the whole world ahead of her, she really is ready to face a lengthy career and a sensible relationship head-on.
As long as she stays out of her competitive mother's way.

And then there's Reid. Growing up with a barely-there mother and a controlling father means the darkness he holds in his chest has nowhere to go. And while his father only shows up when he needs to display his son like a trophy, Reid allows it, in exchange for letting him go to university - the one place he can pretend he's normal.
