They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world?? I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day. Rumors have been flying ever since a group of scientist in the Feet City who were capable on the unsuccessful attempt of the nuclear experimentation. Due to the corrupted experiment, unexpectedly it leads to a nuclear breakage which causes the ejection of harmful chemicals and results to genetic mutation. Somehow, the genetic mutation generated the abnormal DNA disorder of human beings and caused them to become a flesh eating people. But the thing is that people didn't believe and just ignored the whole conspiracy. They continued their works, daily routine and basis. And there goes a class of Grade 10 Gethsemane students went to school, not expecting a big nuclear explosion that ejected a nuclear smoke and covered the entire campus. After inhaling the smoke, they've lost their consciousness for about two weeks and woke up founding out that their fellow schoolmates were gone. The class of Grade 10 Gethsemane were the only people in the whole campus left alive which confused them so much. Eventually, they believe and concluded that apocalypse is really happening. So they stick together to plan something out from the most feared zombie apocalypse. Society is crumbling. Zombie apocalypse is happening. A man who had the virus attacked another man, chewing his face off. It wasn't until 20 minutes later, when the Miami police arrived to the scene. When officers arrived they shot the 'zombie' but he ignored it, almost as if he didn't know he had been shot. He got shot four times before he actually died. Many people blame the attack on drugs, like "bath-salts", but if only they knew the truth. They couldn't find bath-salts in the man's system. He tested positive for LQP-79. The Miami officials deny any existence of this virus, but they don't realize that keeping this dirty secret is going to bite them later. LQP-79 seems to have been forgotten, until ten years later. Years later, people attack Jerusalem, and declare war against the Jews. This makes God extremely angry. When LQP-79 resurfaces in 2022, ten years later, as a result of God's wrath, people scramble to find a cure, knowing that this virus is extremely capable of becoming airborne. It is then, that people realize that this virus is a lot more than they can handle. Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.
