Willow Hasten is dead.
Found in a nearby lake near her school.
A twelve year old girl and yet- something worn on her body stood out.
A gray scarf enclosing and choking her neck.
That scarf belonged to her best friend- Ria Rouse and she has been accused of the murder.
Yet- Ria didn't kill her best friend. At least, she doesn't believe so. She's the same age as Willow and had no reason to kill her.
However, her small town community, parents, and neighbors don't seem to believe so.
They find a journal that seemed to have belonged to Ria and in it- consists of thoughts of killing Willow.
That isn't her journal. But- the handwriting looks identical to hers...
Who is framing Ria? If she is even innocent and-
If not, why doesn't she seem to remember writing, killing, or giving her gray scarf to Willow?
Can a girl her age even trust herself?
How can she prove herself innocent before time is up?

"𝔼𝕍𝔼ℝ𝕐 𝔽𝔸𝕄𝕀𝕃𝕐 ℍ𝔸𝕊 𝕊𝔼ℂℝ𝔼𝕋𝕊" - - - "My name is Hazel, but most people call me Ze. I'm from Melbourne, and love Taylor Swift." I cringe at my own words, and think back to a time where Fletcher was one of the only people calling me Ze. "Does anyone have questions for Miss. Bolivi?" Fletcher asks, and I hate the way my father's last name sounds on his lips. Lots of students raise their hands, and I feel overwhelmed. People actually want to learn something about me? "Yes, Miss. Abbott. Ask away," Fletcher says to one of the girls who is seated at a table at the front of the class, with other kids who all look bitchy like her. "Are you related to the Bolivi brothers?" Her disgustingly sweet voice pukes out. "My last name is Bailey," I say coldly, hating how that was her only query about me. - - - Hazel Bailey. She's your typical Australian teenage girl. From going out with friends every Friday night, to crushing on university boys. But what happens when this seemingly normal girl experiences the loss of her mother? Fearing that she's going to go into foster care, Hazel begins to stress, but she quickly discovers that she's not going to go into the system. Instead, her five older brothers have gained custody of her. The same five older brothers she never knew existed. Something about them seems off, and Hazel can't help acting wary. But they're not the only ones with secrets. Join Hazel in a journey of lies, love, attachment, and humor.

With a drug lord for a father and an addict for a mother, Jade Taylor was dealt a pretty shabby hand in life. Her childhood was spent in a constant state of fear, her only solace being her two half-sisters -- Charlotte and Bailey -- who were forced to live the nightmare alongside her. But things all changed when their father got sent to prison. Eight new social workers and five foster families later, the girls finally found their home. Now, at eighteen, Jade is counting down the days until her exams are over, excited to spend a stress-free summer with her boyfriend, her two best friends, and her forever family. Unfortunately, things don't always go to plan -- not in a town like Greencliff. Upon meeting the Coleman brothers -- a family that fits so well into the 'gang' culture she so desperately wants to avoid -- Jade finds herself teetering on the edge of a blade, carefully balanced between the life she wants and the life she wants to escape. And when she catches the eye of Lucas Coleman, the eldest of the brothers, it's only a matter of time before she falls. Only one questions remains: Which way will she land?
