Who is the one responsible for telling one's own story? Shall it be left alone to be interpreted by history in whatever way they twist it into? No.
Make no mistake, I don't share this tale with you to leave some grandiose ideal behind, or even to entertain you. I tell this story so that my foes do not disparage me even after I depart lest everything we sacrificed be lost in vain.
Let's start where my life began-- the year 1220 in Roslei, former royal sector of Rena.
