The death of Kristen broke the Craft family. Phil, in his grief, neglected his youngest, Tommy, subconsciously blaming him for the death of his wife. The very events that led to the loss of his best friend and getting expelled in the first place. He has no plans to make friends let alone get close to anyone ever again.
