sorry if you've read a story like this but this is an infection AU as well as a fanfic, I'm not using the trainers in the anime or games and placing my own characters in but will be keeping the Pokémon.

The Unown speak in silence. But what they spell... infects everything.

Raised by the Unown-ancient, forgotten Pokémon of living language-twins Eliza and Issac have never known human civilisation. But when they step into the world beyond the woods, they discover the truth:

The Unown are not just watchers.
They are the source.

A strange infection is spreading-silent, psychic, and devastating. People and Pokémon alike are mutating into twisted, mindless husks-bodies stretched, eyes missing, flowers blooming from wounds. It isn't a virus.

It's a message.
And it's being spelled... letter by letter.

Eliza and Issac are already infected-but they don't change. They don't decay. They don't turn.

Blaze, the Fire Gym Leader, is one of the last known immune-his flames holding back the rot. But even he can't stop what's coming.
