Maliah was only nine years old when she was ripped away from the cold winds of the southern water tribe, The fire nation was to blame for the tragic event.

After the fire nation had captured her it was all a blur, nothing to remember but the way her eyes saw nothing but burning flames before falling into an unconscious state. When she woke up she was within the foreign walls of the sisterhood, and since that day on the memory of her life before arriving there was something she could hardly recall.

Eight years later Maliah was now 17 and as strong as ever, She was hungry for adventure. As if the spirits had heard her desperation and granted her wish, The avatar and his companions arrived at the sisterhood 7 days after the eclipse.
