What if it had been just Harry and Draco in the Room of Requirement during the Battle of Hogwarts? Would everything remain the same, or would Harry see an opportunity to convince Draco that they are more similar than they seem?

The inspiration for this came to me while I was daydreaming at work one day, and I wrote part of the ending that day. The part that I imagined initially has been severely altered from its genesis, but the idea remains the same. I did not expect a huge internal monologue on Draco's part, but that's how his POV fell into place. It just felt right to write that all out.

Inseparable || Drarry
Literally, inseparable. Disaster hits. After a spell gone wrong, they discover they're bond together for the next week. Without being able to be touched, and without the ability to move further then a foot apart, Draco and Harry have to figure out how to live with each other. However, they soon discover its much easier then they thought. Harry learns he's more then welcome at the Slytherins table, and Draco doesn't seem to hate him as much as he used to. Could years of loathing actually just be childish squabbles? Did they actually just need more time to understand, and speak to each other? Was this the beginning of a new friendship, or something more then they ever could have dreamed? Heavily inspired by 'Hold My Hand'. Same sort of concept, but not the same writing or quotes. Harry Potter, what would happen if he actually had died that night in the war. What would happen if he got another chance at life to change the outcomes. What would happen if he truly wanted to change Voldemort and make him a better person? Well he gets that chance but a bit more twisted than what he wanted. When he wakes as the younger brother of Voldemort in his new life to find that he turned back time but, took Voldemort with him. An Issue of Consequence
Draco has woken up in an alternate universe. Or he has woken up utterly insane. Nothing else can possibly explain why Harry Potter suddenly seems to think he's Draco's boyfriend. *** "Potter leaned in, his face so close Draco could feel the warmth of his skin. "There's nothing you can't tell me," he whispered, his expression soft, his voice intimate, wrapping around Draco like a warm, alluring spell, urging him to give in, to let Potter pull him close so that he could bask in the protection he offered. For a wild, wonderful second it seemed like Draco could really just tell him. Tell him something was wrong, and it wasn't Draco's fault, and maybe Potter would believe him, promise him it was okay, and they'd sort it out without murders or Azkaban. "It's okay," Potter said as though he had read Draco's mind. As though something compelled him to say whatever Draco wanted him to say. "Just tell me, and we'll deal with it." This was too cruel. It wasn't just a random kiss in a cupboard that only served to remind Draco of what he could never have. This was really much worse. This was Potter behaving in a way that Draco rarely dared even to imagine. He'd only resort to it when his need was dire. When his nightmares were too vivid, and the images refused to vanish even after Draco woke up and opened his eyes. In those moments, his mind trusted only Potter. He was the only one who could convince Draco that it was all right, that he was safe now, that the Dark Lord wasn't coming back. Only Potter could save him from nightmares the way he had saved him from flames. Their foreheads were touching. Potter's skin was warm, the scent of his shampoo too delicious for Draco not to breathe it in. Whichever spell Potter was under, it was definitely contagious. What if? What if Voldemort felt the Horcrux inside Harry? And when Voldemort summoned Harry to the Forest, he didn't kill him. That would be killing himself.
