Tales of a Pretty-Eyed American girl (Poetry)

I like to think of myself as not an author, not a poet, but a girl who just wants to be loved, cherished, and understood unconditionally. Unfortunately, in today's society, that's just too much to ask for... and I hate it here.

"Just like any old thrill;
The adrenaline wears off
And you find yourself feeling ill."
