Our favourite bounty-huntin' Ghoul blows into Dusty Plains with more charm than a rattlesnake and a past with the town's fiery sheriff, Calamity, that's hotter than the desert sun. Can they rekindle their flame, or will their hunt for redemption leave them both burned? (Just a heads up, this redemption involves a lot of dust devils and a surprising amount of lingerie.)

Prologue War... War never changes... When the bombs fell during the Great War in 2077, and atomic fire consumed the earth, those who survived did so in giant vaults. When these vaults finally their inhabitants set out across ruins of the old world to build new societies, establish new villages, forming tribes. As decades passed, what had been the American Southwest united beneath the flag of the New California Republic, dedicated to old-world values of democracy and the rule of law. As the Republic grew, so did its needs. Scouts spread east, seeking territory and wealth, in the dry and merciless expanse of the Mojave Desert. They returned with tales of a city untouched by the warheads that had scorched the rest of the world. And a great wall spanning the Colorado River. The NCR mobilized its army and sent it east to occupy the Hoover Dam and restore it to working condition. But across the Colorado, another society had arisen under a different flag. A vast army of slaves, forged from the conquest of 86 tribes: Caesar's Legion. Four years have passed since the Republic held the Dam - just barely - against the Legion's onslaught. The Legion did not retreat. Across the river, it gathers strength. Campfires burned, and training drums beat. Through it all, the New Vegas Strip has stayed open for business under the control of its mysterious overseer, Mr. House, and his army of rehabilitated Tribals and police robots. While all this was going on two people lived their lives. Loona, a hellhound and slave of Vulpes Inculta dragged to Nipton as her master made plans to destroy to town. And a courier working for the Mojave Express, who had been selected to deliver the Platinum Chip only to be caught by a man named Benny and left for dead in the Goodsprings Cemetery. Little did anyone know, but these two unassuming people would come together and be to ones to change to fate of the entire Mojave Wasteland... I do not own Helluva boss of Fallout New Vegas.

Follow the story of Orion as he confronts his past and future in a grim hellscape of a wasteland decades after the Courier's victory at Hoover Dam sent the Mojave into chaos. My Philosophy behind the writing of this story: So, this is my first time writing a story, since the 6th grade at least. You can tell by how much I improve the formatting past chapter 10 lol. Anway, I think many people found DUST's loony edgyness to be a negative. And I get it, despite my love for the mod, I can see why people might think it's childishly bleak even if it explains why things are the way they are well. So with that being said, one day I was listening to the Jeff the Killer episode of Creepcast in the shower. And in it, they mention that A. It's very edgy, and B. It's cold open kinda falls flat. Immediately, my mind turned to DUST, it too is over the top edgy with a cold open. That gave me the idea; could I write a better cold opening than this old internet creepypasta? So I did (i will at least give myself that), which then made me think about the first point; could I write a story that's over the top edgy, but still had a good narrative? That's what made the character of Orion, the protagonist. My main inspirations for him were the Red Dead series , The Ghoul from the tv show, and interestingly; Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. If you're familiar with any of these, you've probably noticed that they all have edgy, or at least hyper self serious aspects to them. But they are also self critical of those elements. This story aims to do that; tell a badass flashy story that takes itself seriously, while also making sure to show it's flaws, without making a flawed narrative. And in the end, create a tale of hope prospering in the darkest places of the world. If you enjoy the bleakness of DUST or even the original fallouts, I think you'll enjoy this story. And if you enjoy the campier and more inspiring aspects of the bethesda titles, I think you'll also enjoy this story.

Four years after the defeat of the Enclave on the East Coast, Artemis is sent to the opposite side near the bright city of New Vegas. Tensions in the area are high as the Legion rebuilds their army and strength from their defeat at the hands of the NCR four years ago. As she does this, Artemis comes across a courier who shares similar enough goals and they work together to bring at least a temporary alliance with the Brotherhood and NCR in hopes of ridding the area of the Legion and it's leader for good. On top of that the Mojave Brotherhood has been weakened due to an unnecessary battle thanks to their previous Elder, Father Elijah and he must pay with his life at the loss of all the blood that didn't need to spill. She teams up with a temporarily mute woman named Christine to track this man down and bring her home to her love and Artemis' new friend in the area, Veronica.
