During the serpentine wars the humans won and defeated and locked the serpentine underground and the great devourer defeated. What they didn't know was that the great devourer laid eggs but they did find one. They didn't know any better so they entombed the egg in its own tomb, alone.

Lloyd Joins the Dark Side
The ninja finally defeats Lord Garmadon and Lloyd gets his dad back. Everyone is happy again, but the darkness that was in Garmadon finds its way to Lloyd which causes him to slowly become meaner and more emo. The darkness takes full control of Lloyd and makes him just as evil as his dad, but more powerful since he is still the Green Ninja. The rest of the team is left to figure out who and or what is powerful enough to destroy the evilness in him without harming their friend. Who looked up, amazed by this news. "I take it the reason you are letting me even hold it, is because you require help?" the person asked. The dragon chuckled a bit at the person's question. "Yes, while it's still an egg, it is very vulnerable and should it get in the wrongs hands, they might try and use its powers or even take it from it which would kill it. That is why we are asking you, First Spinjitzu Master, to take it and keep it safe, and out of harms way until it has hatched and been able to grow." said the dragon. The First Spinjitzu Master looked back at the egg in his hands as he felt a small movement from it, a soft smile grew on his face at that. "Don't worry, I'll keep it safe from any danger, you have my word Source Dragon of Balance.
