During the serpentine wars the humans won and defeated and locked the serpentine underground and the great devourer defeated. What they didn't know was that the great devourer laid eggs but they did find one. They didn't know any better so they entombed the egg in its own tomb, alone.

The ninja finally defeats Lord Garmadon and Lloyd gets his dad back. Everyone is happy again, but the darkness that was in Garmadon finds its way to Lloyd which causes him to slowly become meaner and more emo. The darkness takes full control of Lloyd and makes him just as evil as his dad, but more powerful since he is still the Green Ninja. The rest of the team is left to figure out who and or what is powerful enough to destroy the evilness in him without harming their friend. The First Spinjitzu Master looked back at the egg in his hands as he felt a small movement from it, a soft smile grew on his face at that. "Don't worry, I'll keep it safe from any danger, you have my word Source Dragon of Balance.
