The war has ended, and life is getting back to normal, or least supposed to be. For returning half-blood Ravenclaw Y/N Y/L/N, her only focus is to finally have a year without fear and uncertainty, until professor Slughorn asks her the question the rest of the room is dreading: "I trust you will be Mr Malfoy's partner?"

Draco Malfoy returns to Hogwarts the same as any other past seventh year student. He wants to complete his education and ensure himself a good future, one better than his previous years, but there is one slight problem: he's Draco Malfoy. For his family's involvement in the war, Draco attends school feeling alienated and resented, spending most of his time alone and suffering his guilt in silence.
