"I was jealous-" The girl seethed at the young avatar, her brows furrowing, it had never been in her nature to admit such things, much less express such fierce emotion as fire fizzled out in her right palm.

"Jealous?" The avatar questioned, a look of disbelief on his face as he stepped closer toward the girl, "You have nothing to be jealous of- Lei.. You're beautiful, I love you."

"You- Love me?"

Hello! Val here :] or White Lotus, whichever you all prefer! This is my first ATLA story, I noticed not many people write much for Aang and most of the fanfictions I have read had my heart in a vice when I was looking (Totally didn't stay up all night reading fanfiction-) This story deals with what ifs, two I believe, I wish I could remember the user of the person on tumblr that explained my what if there were two avatars alive at the same time thingy lmao- But props to that person because they explained the idea really well in what they wrote! I hope they don't mind me using the explanation, but this story obviously entails Aang as the avatar from one hundred years ago, but what if the world anointed a secondary avatar as it was so in need of the balance being kept, so used the dark spirit of Vaatu to create the 'dark avatar' but ofc they aren't unnecessarily evil, but this person also did not wish to be the avatar, what if this avatar passed backwards on the avatar rotation and chose someone, possibly a descendant of a past fire nation avatar as they couldn't use a descendant of Aang (that's the second what if, what if this 'dark' avatar was chosen from the fire nation) what if this person ran away like Aang..or was banished with a certain childhood friend and his uncle in the search of the avatar, a person who hides their bending ability, namely firebending.

48 parts Complete

There is an old folklore about the Children of the Forest. They were mortal spirits who were the First Benders with the ability to travel freely to the spirit world and to the human realm. Each with their own element of air, water, earth and fire. They were one with their elemental animals and travelled the spirit and human realm freely. Fire Lord Azulon was one of the very few humans aware that this folklore was more than a mere legend, although slightly altered, but factual. He sought out dragons and in one of his searches he found a Child of the Forest with a Fire Element by sheer unfortunate luck and after defeating her, he imprisoned her. (Y/N) was seen as the key object of victory within the Fire Nation and a driving force of power to their legacy and supremacy but to Zuko she was not a weapon of mass destruction or a spirit creature; she was so much more. As the Sozins Comet approaches and the Avatar Aang prepares to face Firelord Ozai with the help of his friends, it's clear that Zuko and (Y/N)'s paths are more far apart than they know. (Y/N) has to decide; stay in the human world with him and risk it all or return home to the spirit world where she belongs. β™₯β•£[-_-]β• β™₯ACTIVE UPDATES TWICE A WEEKβ™₯β•£[-_-]β• β™₯
