A carriage accident almost took her life just because of the rumors of her suitability to be the new concubine of the young Emperor. Oh no...Risei doesn't want to be trapped within palace walls and get involved with the harem nor does she want to be a mere puppet in her father's hands. So if she had to choose between the powerful young Emperor and the bloodthirsty General, whom would she chose?????.........the General of course. Note - Ok so I am a bit of k drama and c drama fan especially historical dramas so this may contain some elements of them but nothing is actually logically or based strictly on a specific country or culture or anything. There are even some English names given to the characters because I couldn't come up with any other ones. Settings, names and characters are all based on my imagination so not specific to any actually existing places or persons. This is my work alone. Hope the story will be enjoyable.

In a kingdom where duty outweighs desire, alliances are forged in marriage, and power is a game played in shadows, the noble houses of Harvanser and Kon weave an intricate web of ambition, betrayal, and legacy. At the heart of this tale stands Isabel Harvanser, the cast-aside daughter of King Louis Brail. Once the cherished heir to the throne, she is now stripped of her title and future, Isabel harbors a single, burning vow-to reclaim what was stolen from her. But as she navigates the treacherous politics of nobility, she begins to realize that power is not simply given-it must be taken. Alongside Isabel's story is the story of her family. Her maternals figures, once radiant and ambitious young noblewomen attempt to play the courtly game with ease. Their paths are destined to end, and their fates tangled in a battle of wits, will, and whispered alliances. As noble daughters are bartered for power and kings secure their legacies through blood and marriage, Isabel must decide who she will become-a pawn in the hands of those who rule or a queen in her own right. A Single Rose is a gripping tale of ambition, family, and the cost of power. For in a world where crowns are won through cunning defeats, and love is a luxury few can afford, only the ruthless will rise. Will Isabel carve her own destiny, or will she be buried beneath the weight of duty and betrayal? One thing is certain-she will not go quietly. Notes: The title of Lord Baron is given to those who rules a region of land in the ruler of the country's name. So the king is the ruler of the entire country, and a lord Baron is the ruler of a designated region within that country.
