50 years ago, Queen Seraphina, a woman cursed to turn into a swan by daylight, disappeared. In her absence 11 girls were born with the same affliction to the lost queen, turning into owls, eagles and ravens alike.

Adric, a 14-year-old boy sets out on a quest to find the Queen to seek a cure for his sister and prove himself as a noble knight. Along the way, aided by a nosey Magpie, he meets Gale, a rowdy girl who grew up in an isolated village, also cursed to turn into a Nightingale. After much arguing and a difference in reasoning, the two join together to find Seraphina and solve the mystery once and for all.

Something is killing them, wings breaking, angels dieing and the kingdom falling into a dark shadow. The one born that started it all is unaware of what is coming right at her. Evil lurks in plain sight and goods trembles. This 5 year old has a lot coming at her. "She fluttered down to the ground, pulled her winds in and rolled up into a ball on the ground. Her eyes filled with water. Slowly a small drop came out at the end of her black eyes. Rolling down onto her cheekbone and upon her pale cheek. Dropping to her jaw and slowly on her chin. It quickly fell off into her lap. She was crouching now, her arms around her knees and knees tucked in. Tears started streaming down on her face. Her nose started to run, dropping down onto her lips and past, moving to her chin and off, just like the tears. Falling every millisecond now. The wind blew her hair into her face, making it stick to the water. Sniffling her nose every now and again, Seraphina couldn’t stop herself. She opened her mouth to scream, to yell so her pain would leave but her voice disappeared. Nothing came out. She blamed herself for everything, she could have stopped them, done something to help, but no, she stood there, frozen. She clenched her fists. She grabbed what she could and threw it. But she couldn’t settle down, her heart was too hurt and her mind only made things worse." ~CHAPTER 9 ARTHOURS NOTE: PLEASE READ PAST THE FIRST TWO PAGES, THEY SUCK, THE REST ARE SO MUCH BETTER, PROMISE. its just hard to start a book with an intresting start, please read on even if its boring XD appreciate it.

How far would you go for the one you loved? Madrigal Cabriole would do anything for Allegro Danseur. He isn't just her childhood friend and adoptive brother, but the man who owns her heart. Which is why, for the sake of the treaty between his Famiglia and their arch nemesis the Cavaliers, she'll swallow her pride and endure the contempt and disdain of his fellow noblemen. Better to have a bruised ego than a headless fiancé. But as the treaty's negotiations are drawn farther out, and the wedding encroaches ever closer, the further she and Allegro drift apart. Madrigal believes sinister means are afoot in the form of the Cavalier leader but cannot take action without putting Allegro's life on the line. Desperate, her fears drive her into the home of a mysterious man who promises eternal happiness, for a price she's unsure she's willing to pay. Madrigal must decide if her heart is worth the cost, because once a heart has been stolen, it can never be returned.
