I had known of the rumors, he was supposed to be a cursed being--something unwanted and maimed. But they never spoke of just how beautiful the man before me actually is.

And I mean that literally as those eyes are already trained my way--meeting mine to pleasantly showcase one cerulean iris, framed by a darkened scar and mismatched with a murky gray on the other side of his gaze.

There's a yelp that graces my ears, making me jolt as one of the bushes rimming the garden let out a flurry of rustles.

A reluctant Prince, pressured by his father's demands, undertakes the arduous task of selecting a bride. With this generational curse overtaking the left side of his body, he is forsaken by all the realm--a charred product of a quirk marriage.
Legally overthrowing the King would require a wife.
And his method of finding one to adhere to the old man's wishes? Inviting a cohort of wealthy women to reside within the castle walls for two months, secretly subjecting them to a battery of tests to discern their true character.

He huffs, letting a sharp-toothed grin spread across his grimacing features. The blood continued to drip from his nails, leaving a scent that led far off into the woods and belonged to the very Hunter that had just saved his life. • • "The Hunter." was the title townsfolk had named their masked helper-a hooded figure that bore the ability to step in and out of the forbidden woods alive. And the name (Y/n) had come to recognize as hers. Silent and concealed, hiding her identity and ducking away when others curiosity's begin to peak through. Helping starving people was all she had intended to do and if it meant she had to deliver her catches with a hood over her head to conceal her face-she didn't mind. But after delivering another successful hunt through the woods where even the sun doesn't dare glimpse, names are nailed to the bounty boards and she is surprised to see her cover name now planted throughout villages. A high ransom had tied itself to her and now the hunter is slowly becoming the hunted as many people seek for the reward sewn onto her cloaked figure. One day after a swift encounter in the woods left her bleeding, two assumed 'Bounty Hunters' step into the tavern and when a questioning glance connects with two sets of crimson eyes. Male reader is an Elemental Dragon Slayer from Fairy Tail. Has an exceed Tenshi, I don't own My hero academia or Fairy Tail, but I do own Tenshi as a character (not her picture) as well as Y/n in this book. There will also be special chapters called What if... and they will sometimes be romance and others not. ----- "Uh (Y/N) I don't think you should be touching that." My exceed Tenshi tells me.
