Hidden deep underground lie more secrets than the humanity that inhabits the earth today is aware of. Known then as 'The World of Monsters', it is now nothing more than a legend that has been told to children for many years to keep them from entering the Underground. After a terrible war broke out between humans and monsters and humans were ultimately victorious, the King of the Monsters was overcome with anger that humans were unable to tame. They sealed the monsters underground, where, according to legend, they still live today. The reason for the said monsters' hatred towards humans is still unknown today, which is why the legend is considered an incomplete tale, but a fate that ends in death awaits any human foolish enough to enter the underground. Some monsters were described as benevolent beings whose greatest desire was to reunite the two worlds and allow peace to reign so that humans and monsters could live together in one world, while other creatures said to live underground were filled with hatred, waiting for more souls of people who are bold enough to enter their kingdom. So ends the tale of the legend of the underground, but all the monsters share one wish; They all wish to see the light of the sun and restore peace to their kingdom. The soul of a human being is strong, even stronger than that of the most powerful monster in the underground, which is why seven are enough to unite the worlds again. How the fortunes of both races will change from this point on is unclear, but this is where any tales end completely, as they reach into the present. Trouble plagues the monsters more and more every day. Only human kind can reunite both worlds...

Yet the monsters still struggle to find their place within the world. Most accept the monsters, but there are those who wish nothing more than the complete annihilation of monster kind. Merely sealing them away is not enough. As ambassador for the monsters, it is Frisk's responsibility to fight for everyone's right to live on the surface. But at the same time, an internal battle rages on within her. Not only that, her relationship with Sans is strained. Trust is not so easily regained after the slaughter of one's beloved, despite it all being erased. Or was it really? A long time ago, two races dominated the land: monsters and humans. The relationship between both races was conflictual, hostile, and difficult, as humans feared monsters, both for their appearances and for the great power they could possess by obtaining a human soul. Because of this, monsters were always treated as scum and creatures to be feared, creating a significant prejudice against them. However, one day, the monsters grew tired of this situation, and their king decided to start a war against all humans, thus decreeing the beginning of ruin for their own people. This war lasted a long time, but in the end, the victors were the humans, who, with great magical power derived from the souls of the wizards of the time, sealed the monsters underground. Many years passed after this event. Legends said that any human who fell into that underground would die, but a child decided to go to the place where everything had been sealed. They ended up falling but managed to survive the fall and now seek a way to escape or a reason to stay. Immense credits to Error Sannes, a YouTube channel creating its own AU of StoryFell. Without his narrative, I would have created something much more basic, so to speak. Of course, I will also create my own scenes and specific interactions, but what he has done is already very good and helps me a lot to have a direction. This is using the Flowerfell AU, which is a combination of two different AUs; Flowertale: which is when every time Frisk dies, a golden flower blooms somewhere on their body, and Underfell: which is that all the monsters are more set on killing Frisk instead of mercy, and it's much harder to survive, and Flowey is actually kind and helps Frisk. Many years have passed since the war between the humans and monsters. The humans won, and shut the monsters in a place called the underground. Keeping them there with a magical barrier, it took seven usable souls to shatter the barrier, but being monsters, their souls didn't work. Instead, they had to use human souls to break the barrier, and even then, humans were not likely to fall in. Because the human waste system ends up in the underground, the monsters are informed of what's going on up on the surface, and have developed human-like lifestyles, which included scholarship, friendships and the like, but it seemed, that the monsters were eager to get back on the surface again. Six humans were unlucky enough to fall into the underground, and the leader of the monsters, Asgore Dreemurr killed these humans to use their souls for removing the barrier. Asgore thought that those humans were the only ones that would fall in, but he was wrong. Two more humans fell in, but their souls were lost before Asgore could even use them, and those soulless ghosts were doomed to haunt the underground. Now playing the waiting game, Asgore patiently waited another human to fall, and fall it would. (Sorry! No Muffet or Grillby in this one!)Complete
