Owen just got back from the military, and started working at Grey-Sloan hospital as a trauma doctor. Not long after, Mark Sloan's little sister, Macie, started her internship. Owen became interested in her, he liked the way she protected her patients rights, the way she did charts, her handwriting, and how she doesn't look anything like Mark, she's a bit bigger, but she's kinder, and she doesn't care about the game like her older brother.

One day while she's tending to a patient, changing her wrap around her stomach after a surgery, when the sky got dark. And it sounded like a freight train, but no trains go by the area. Then someone shouted "Tornado!"
