"The year is 3012;  Humanity has made amazing discoveries.  Technology has made leaps and bounds.  And they have found what others have been trying to hide for centuaries...they have found the portal to Parallel.  Parallel is the world in which all beings of the past have found sanctuary.  We thought the stories we've grown up with were all made up.  But as it turns out, they are not.  It's all real, the loch ness monster, bigfoot, dracula, werewolves, shifters, faeries, witches, and much more.  Humanity has taken over Parallel.  It's now a tourist attraction for the rich. So it's no wonder Marie Hawkins got a pass, after all her father is the President of United State of America. I mean what 16 year old in her right mind would pass up an oppertunity to see this? Unforutnately she has to bring her trouble making brother Andrew with her. Tall dark and broody is the last  that thing she wanted to come with her. Together they get to go on a trip of a lifetime. It's not until they are kidnapped by the Tribe until Marie realizes her world, our world, may not be as perfect as it seems. THIS BOOK IS COMPLETED but it will be HEAVILY EDITED and have things added to it in the future. I wrote this book when I was much younger. I didn't expect it to reach this amount of popularity so I will devote my time to bettering it in the future. ------------------ Every year, in our village and the neighbouring villages, we encounter, on what is suppose to be the most divine and celebrated day of the year, a visit from the 'big bad wolf'. At least that's what the children call him. Adults like to call him "inhuman" or a "wild ravenous monster". However, the majority settle for "beast". No one knows why he ruins this specific day for us, the day we can celebrate our species: werewolves. Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear. When that specific day of the year approaches us, none of us are ever prepared for it. He always comes at night. We are told to lock our windows, draw our curtains and our doors. We are told to hide. There's one main rule that we have: don't look at him. Because if you do, no one knows what'll happen to you. Maybe that's the worse part, not knowing your fate. Not knowing the outcome of your foolish actions. If he comes roaming your streets, you have a right to be scared. Us "maidens" are always encouraged to hide ourselves the most, it's women that he supposedly wants more. However, I believe that that is a cautionary excuse. He'll take you, no matter how old or how young, no matter how innocent or how corrupt, no matter your gender, all it takes is a look. Either he looks at you, or you look at him, or you both exchange looks. Either way, his senses will pick you up, and you can't hide. It'll be too late. The amazing cover is by @-blackrogue.
