WATID is a fanfiction about the character of Vance Hopper, from the movie 'The Black Phone'. This is a work based on my little knowledge of Stranger Things from reading other AO3 and Wattpad fanfics. Not all data is valid. This is my interpretation of what would have likely happened if Vance Hopper and the other 'Ghost Boys' survived the Gillsberg Grabber's horrible basement, and happened to be taken in by his uncle, 'Cheif' Jim Hopper from the fandom of Stranger Things. He still remembers it. The sound of bones breaking. The ringing. The voices. Their voices. His voice. But it shouldn't be possible. He sat in his bed, the darkness of the night making it hard to see at first. Sweat on his face- no whole body made it seem like just a bad dream. It was just that, wasn't it? Just a bad dream. But why was he feeling like he was being watched? Someones, or somethings eyes on his neck. Just waiting for a moment of weakness. Waiting for Finney to let his guard down, just to snap it. Something that only worsens it though, is that the other boys, which he had dreamed about, seem weird, strangely different than before. Or, Finney wakes up in the past with memories of the basement, but is telling himself it was nothing but a bad dream. But, of course, it is not. Because what kind of person am I to just let him and the other grave-boys just forget? Fair warning for this fic, English isn't my first language, so mistakes can/will happen.
