If you haven't beaten at least one of the hollow knight endings (preferably the "true ending"/dream no more ending) there will be spoilers. I do not own hollow knight, that belongs to team cherry. This is just something I did because I was bored. And major spoilers ahead so if you haven't already played hollow knight GO DO THAT RIGHT NOW AND ONLY COME BACK AFTER YOU BEAT RADIANCE. Done? Alright now we can get context.
P.S: this story is inspired by 'silent city' by vaarion. That story is infinitely better than this one, so go read it.
This story takes place years after the events of the hollow knight "true ending" where the knight defeats the radiance. I wants make everything more human because I'm lazy, so I just used the "its been a few hundred years so yah they are different" excuse. Also this is technically about zombies, just not quite normally. The radiance has been sealed away for as long as it takes between the events of hollow knight, and this story. But now the radiance is starting to infect people's minds, but not through their dreams. This time one zombie kicks off an outbreak, and yah, they spread by biting people. But the radiance isn't the only one who shows up. The knight and the hollow knight reappear magically to deal with this threat. Also a few unexpected other characters appear. And can't forget the government research institute that has taken quite an interest in the void and hallownest though the giant crack that appeared. May be very cringe in the beginning, but bear with me. It does get better. I hope.

Just to let you know, I think this story was very rushed, I did not give myself a small break after finishing the other story and worked on this one right away thinking I had an idea of what was going to happen, I was wrong. Now, this story take place in another universe, one outside of the other universe, where, Yuito Sumeragi doesn't exist, and Hanabi Ichijo. You take the place of Yuito in this story, Hanabi's special childhood friend was you, she knows and trusts you more than anyone else, you also trust her more than anyone. You were never really social and no one would ever talk to you while you were younger, but when Hanabi came over to you and tried starting a conversation even if you wouldn't respond right away, it started that friendship between you and her. While on your assignment in Kikuchiba with Hanabi, something strange happens, you feel pain in your head, and the ground below you looks like it is breaking apart, you black out from the pain in you're head... and wake up in a war torn Suoh, to see you, but older... You also catch glimpse of floating islands with structures on them out in the distance, and a German male, with a firearm, killing creatures you have never seen before. I don't own either Scarlet Nexus or Call of Duty's characters, environments, and whatever else shows up here that is from either game. This is something I decided to make because, I like Scarlet Nexus, I also like Call of Duty Zombies. She must either leave Hallownest or help save it from the infection that plagues it, which is kind of the responsibility of time travelers, but this kingdom is no ordinary world by time traveler standards. Hat Kid try's not to go literally insane from all the chaos around her. Gaining new awareness, skills and gear from the world of Hollow Knight, she may just make it out. She will do what needs to be done in order to survive this psychotic world. (There is a bit of blood (Possibly not highly detailed gore) in some of the action scenes which is about as graphic as it will get... kind of, but it's not "human" blood so it's fine right?)
