The town of mystic falls has never been normal. Over the years vampires, werewolves, and witches have lived there from the Salvatore brothers to many others. Now it is currently housing an entire school of the three factions. 

 When seven students only vaguely acquainted with one another, choose to take a shortcut through the woods they wind up encountering Paige, a witch who asks them to help save the Earth from an insidious secret invasion.

Now Hope, Rafael, Lizzie, Josie, Jed, Alex and MG must work together and learn to trust each other if they wish to save not only mystic falls but the entire planet.
