"Well shit, look who's back." It's been two years since Total Drama Action, the producers instead of making a third season, decided pay for each of the kids to go to high school together. Gwen goes home to pack her final things during their fall break and as she's going through things she sees an old book of memories and starts to feel down and miss her old friends, and relationships. Duncan on the other hand has been out of jail for about three months and very eager to finish college so he can just go back home. Duncan spends his fall break moving into college, and as he puts his things away, and he sees all his old things starts to miss a certain someone. As Gwen was at home she didn't notice that Duncan had moved into college into the dorm next to her.
