The Finest Blade

I follow Kita to my brother's room, clutching the sword tightly in concentration as the small fire in my other palm flickers.

I hear a yell and it takes everything in me not to run to the person I know to be my brother. Kita holds my arm, her eyes as tearful as mine.

She turns to me slowly,

"Pretend to be me. They'll take me not you. Get Team Avatar. And save us."

I try to protest, but she closes my palm around the flame, gently places my sword to the ground before yelling,
"Kita! Get the intruder! Uh... I mean... princess..."
It's a terrible bluff, but they're convinced.
They take her, thinking she's me.
We always have looked alike...
