Elina Cameron felt like an outsider. Though she was adequately pretty, and highly intelligent, she wasn't popular or particularly known around school. It was her intention to stay in the shadows and away from any distractions, at least until it would all be over and she could just go to college like she planned. But when she is approached by the school's cheer captain, who happens to also be her neighbor, and finds herself having a heart to heart conversation that they've never had before, she uncovers something that encourages her to step out of the shadows and into the labyrinth of young romance.
