Nancy and Millie Wheeler, despite popular opinion, are not the kind of twins who are exact copies of each other. Sure, they both get good grades, are considered 'try-hard' goodie-two-shoes, share a bedroom and a car, but that is where their similarities end. While Nancy dresses prim and proper, Millie dresses for comfort. Nancy hates her younger brother and his friends, while Millie enjoys hanging around them. Nancy is best friends with Barb while Millie doesn't really care for the girl. Nancy actually has a lot of friends, and Millie has very few. Millie skates, she hates the school newspaper, she's much more rebellious, and unlike Nancy, she does NOT want to grow up to be a journalist. Despite Nancy having a whole plan for her life, Millie has no idea who or what she wants to me. Millie doesn't fit in with the nerds, the journalists, the jocks, the freaks, the cheerleaders, the plastics, even the outcasts. Millie is her own best friend, and she doesn't mind it, for the most part. Her life is exactly the way she wants it to be, and nothing strange ever happens. That is, until Nancy started dating the most unlikely of characters. Steve 'The Hair' Harrington.
