Linh Jade Chau wants to go to space

It is the 22nd century. Humans have been evicted from Earth and resettled on Mars. Linh Jade Chau is 2nd generation Mars migrant. She lives in an outpost town that housed the water miners who mined for water that went to the bigger settlements. For all intents and purposes, her mother is a single mother as Linh Jade's father who is a water prospector and is often gone from the family. In his place, her mother's brother, Tien, an owner of a robot repair shop is a reluctant father figure.
