Discover "Last Reader Standing," the thrilling story of Jun Park, an ordinary librarian thrust into an extraordinary reality where fiction blends with everyday life. After a mysterious phenomenon called "Literary Awakening," each person becomes bound to a unique book that grants them powers and narratives based on the tales and legends contained within its pages.

Jun finds himself bound to "Chronicles of the Immortal," an enigmatic book whose blank pages seem to write destiny as it unfolds. With the ability to relive legendary battles and forgotten wisdom, Jun must navigate a world where allies and adversaries emerge from the folds of time and paper.

Join our unlikely hero as he allies with Calla, a cunning thief bound to "Queen of the Night," and Sora, the noble wolf from "King of Wolves," to thwart the plots of Güldenstern, a shadowy sect hungry for power. Together, they must unravel the mysteries of the City of Mirrors, a fractured city where each district reflects a story, and where the Master Book might hold the key to restoring harmony or plunging their world into chaos.

"Last Reader Standing" is an epic adventure that blends the magic of classic tales with modern stakes, a journey where every choice has the power to alter the fabric of reality. To survive, Jun must write his own story in a world where being the last reader could determine the fate of all.

Sᴇǫᴜᴇʟ ᴛᴏ 'Aʟʟɪᴀɴᴄᴇ' 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 '𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆' 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 The stars give comfort, but if one knows how to read them, they may spell disaster and ruination. In the midst of personal tragedy and conflict, darkness spreads over the land and into the hearts of people. Death beckons, as does lust, and wonders never cease. The allure of the unknown casts its net over all prey, and past pain never fades, which the Heirs learn, over and over again, even as fresh aches form. Happiness and prosperity are both fleeting and flickering. Fleeting, like lovers disappearing into the dead of night. Flickering, like a candle flame, snuffed out just as a man's breath. King James tries his best, Princess Selene fights to be important, and Princess Seraphina struggles to be free. What happens as the Golden Age ends, and the Dark Age begins? Sora has no place in the world. She is meant to be a strong warrior, with the ability to shift into a wolf. She is none of those things, and looked down upon because of it. It brings shame to her, it brings shame to her family, and worst of all, it brings shame upon her prideful and strong brother. There is but one person who truly knows and loves her, but does he really? Magic is not the weapon of a warrior, magic is the weapon of a coward. Sora has been told that all her life, but she has magic within her, recently awakened, and so she has begun to doubt it. Still, witchcraft is punishable by death, and so Sora must be careful with her practices, lest she lose all she has. Sora is a better witch than wolf, though not by much, but she still pursues that craft in spite of the dangers. Her place in the world is a dangerous one, but will it last? The world she lives in is a dangerous one, and such a life as hers rarely ends happily. Disclaimer: this is a short prequel, Sora's story does not conclude with this one. If you finish this book and go "oh, that's the end?" it's because it's not the end. I'm writing a trilogy called Mortance that explores the larger world that this takes place in and concludes Sora's story more thoroughly than in this book. Go read that next if you like my writing, thanks. Please leave any and all criticisms you might have, anything you like and anything you dislike, I want to make this as good as I can. P.S. the cover is literally just a drawing I made in physics class, I know it's bad, I'm not an artist.

COVER ART IS BY ME Dragon aging is different in this series- ages up to 8 are dragonet, 9 to 12 is teenager, 12 to 20 is young adult, 20+ is adult. This excuses any questions about aging. One could say that Jasmine has had a lot of character development. One worth writing a story about. It the perfect origin story for a powerful and memorable heroine, which was Jasmine's dream since she was tiny. Both her parents were dead, the world had been brought to its knees (again), and her friends were starting to give up on saving the world. Jasmine feels hopeless that she'll ever have a future worth living. Especially when Aconi rose up to her godly status, forcing those oppose her into exile and serfdom. But when she meets a dragonet who shows her faith and strength that there is possibility, Jasmine started to believe that maybe she can actually survive this. Maybe with enough dragons that really believe in a better future for all, they can finally overthrow the tyrannous queen that has Pyrrhia under her talons. But when things go wrong in the worst way possible, leaving her dangling by a thread, Jasmine must finally decide what she is destined to do: be the hero and risk it everyone she loves, or make a deal she will never forgive herself for? Join Jasmine on the final installment of the Last Day Series, where she will walk paths that hadn't been walked in millennia, dragons and ancestors that will guide her talons to victory, wherever they may go. Jasmine will face Aconi, and she will meet her destiny, whether she lives to see the next day or not.

"Everyone loves a good fantasy, but my life was turned upside down by one." What would you do if you had the ability to control the air? How about if you were suddenly brought to a world where, despite your powers, you're at the bottom of the food chain? On a fateful night, Max Walker finds himself summoned to Asterisk and contracted to Liliana Lockwood as her familiar. Forced to leave behind his life on Earth, Max begins a precarious journey into the unknown world of magic. Training as a knight, learning to control mana, battling rogue necromancers and even being mistaken for Duke Walker's son... it's just one thing after the next. But as if that wasn't bad enough, Asterisk, a world which subverts reality as you know it, may just have something to do with Max's own heaven-defying origin... and a secret that could leave the universe hanging by a thread. Sabine has spent the past decade hiding from the Wild Hunt. But when a charismatic stranger recruits her to retrieve an invaluable artifact, she'll have to finally reveal her identity... and her dark secrets. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The darkness holds more than just secrets... Marked for death, Sabine escaped from her home more than ten years ago. But the Wild Hunt will never give up. It should have been easy to stay hidden. All Sabine had to do was keep her head down, avoid telling anyone about her past, and above all else -- not let her glamour drop. Even the best-laid plans eventually fall apart. When a charismatic stranger arrives in the city, Sabine finds herself unwittingly drawn to the power she can sense hidden within him. Keeping her distance is nearly impossible, especially after a life debt is called due and she's tasked into helping steal a rare artifact. Sabine is the only one who can break the magical barriers protecting the item, but that means revealing the truth about her identity and exposing her darkest secrets. Unfortunately, the Fae aren't the only ones hunting her. And the most dangerous monsters aren't always confined to the dark.
