I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. But one day, on her sixteenth birthday, everything changes. Samael captures her in the shadows and brings her to his world. Arya no longer falls into oblivion. A completely new and mysterious world opens up for her, a world of shadows and the damned. In order to finally feel the freedom she's longed for for years, she'll have to break the mask of perfection she's created and face her own past.
