The ground of the cloud recesses is dark and frigid. It should have been a simple night; however, no one could have guessed what would happen to resurrect those afflicted by the yin iron, except those who were not naive enough to believe there was a cure for the suffering inflicted on those who had already lost their soul to ghouls. Wei Wuxian was cursing everybody who believed it was a good idea to bring them back, regardless of which clan these miserable people were originally from.

Wei Wuxian opens his eyes in a strange room. The past memories rush in but along with the memories of the loss and the hatred is the distinct memory of his own death. It takes him a while to realize that the body he inhabits is not his own. He has been dead for sixteen years. The World has changed a lot. The Jin Clan of Lanling fell when Jin Guangshan died and Jin Guanyao fled to avoid being punished for crimes against humanity, namely the ill treatment of the Wens. The cultivation world is in disarray with no known leader and no order. The ordinary people suffer and to end this suffering Mo Xuanyu, the son of a cultivator who failed to make a mark, performed the self sacrificing ritual to unite the cultivation world, to provide a leader that will help people rather than harm them. In a village few miles from Ciayi Town, Wei Wuxian grappled with the realization that he had been resurrected with the purpose of being targeted by all the sects all over again, so that in standing against a common enemy the cultivation world unites once more. However this time around, he has a golden core, though weak, and the added advantage that no one knows this face. What he didn't make allowance for was a person who knows his soul. P.S. Unlike my other fanfics that take the characters and weave a light fluffy romance (with light SMUT) around them this story deals with themes of social injustice, personal voice, identity crisis, self harm, suicide, violence and death. 78 parts Complete Mature
A little boy named, Wei Wuxian, was left alone on the streets. He had no parents, no siblings, no home. One day while roaming the streets, he started to follow a black tendril that looked so intriguing to him. Since he was only a little five year old boy, he had no idea what he was going to get himself into. The black tendrils were known to be resentful (Yin) energy. They led him to a place called the burial mounds. Once their, the resentful energy found its new host/master. Consuming every last bit of the dark energy, Wuxian unknowingly cleansed the burial mounds, but he was now owner to the most dangerous and powerful magic to ever exist. Feeling this power, he knew he had to be careful and hide it. When he was older, due to the resentment, he did not gain a golden core to cultivate like a normal cultivator. To help him, he created a powerful tool to help protect himself and others and control the resentment called, Yin Hu Fu (Stygian Tiger Amulet). He also crafted a black bamboo Dizi to help him out, he named Chenqing. He one day meets the second young master of the Gusu Lan Sect, Lan Zhan, and he was drawn by his pure spiritual (Yang) energy. How will Lan Zhan handle the demonic cultivator he grew up learning to cleanse, destroy, and/or hate? Especially seeing how handsome Wei Wuxian was at first sight to the second young master Lan? I hope you read and find out. ---------- Mo Dao Zu Shi inspired Fan Fiction: Characters are not mine but from MDZS and the inspiration of this FF was of reading various books and watching all the Untamed and MDZS.
