"Nerthus you require rest." I claim, gesturing to the bedroom placed at the back of the house.

Her ocean blue eyes stare back at me. My own eyes become lost in them for a long moment. I feel almost drawn to them. Subconsciously, I step forwards. And then another. I step all the way until I'm mere inches from her.

"A little close are we?" Nerthus' voice calls, ripping me out of my trance.

Quickly I grab her arm. She's so wonderfully warm against my cold hand. I feel the tingle of my Valkyrie powers in my arms. Silently cursing to myself I push the feeling aside.

I pull Nerthus into the bedroom and direct her to the bed. "Sleep. You require rest." I growl, turning my back to her and walking to the door.

"Without company?" Her voice whispers to me. I pull myself to a stop and sigh heavily. 

I have important Valkyrie things to do. But I guess they can wait. One night. I can do them tomorrow and leave her here and out of trouble.All Rights Reserved
