She was also a young child but was the newest slave his father owned. Ezra never understood racism or slavery, and why it existed. He ended up becoming friends with Zuri and falling deeply in love with her. But his father became furious when finding this out and as the two planned to get married, he sold her. Zuri was sent back to Africa.. The love that the two shared is lost and it's up to Ezra to save it. To save her. But the farther he goes to save his love, the deeper he digs, the more he'll find out about the darkest corners of the earth.
