Know Me At My Worst

Christa James is a 16 year old singing sensation- okay, not really; but she could be. She has the voice of an angel, a wasted mom who is constantly draining out Christa's college money, and a huge dream that few people get to enjoy. Just when she thinks her life is going completely downhill, her best elderly, and only friend points out that Christa's got a "not-so-secret" admirer. At first, she dreads the thought of breaking someone's heart because she isn't attracted to them, but then, she finds he makes her life the tiniest bit easier. Not only that, but she actually starts to wonder if he might be the one. He gives her the chance to choose a different path, but will she take it? Will she choose to continue with her miserable life with her drunk mother? Or will she choose the path on which she has an education, a supportive mother, a career, and a wonderful family?
