The war is over. But everyone's still struggling with PTSD. Some people more than others. Unfortunately, Harry James Potter and Draco Lucius Malfoy were some of those people. They're breaking, drastically, each in their own way. All that stubbornly comes to a halt when Professor McGonagall sends the previous seventh years an invite to come back to Hogwarts for their eighth year, as none of them had taken their N.E.W.T.s, what with some of the teachers being Death Eaters and torturing remaining students. The others weren't at school at all. And on top of all the stress, Harry and Draco start a custody fight over Teddy Lupin. Andromeda has fallen seriously ill, what with her old age, grieving her daughter and the post-war trauma and all. She is in no state to take care of a newly orphaned baby. And neither his godfather nor his cousin once removed want Teddy to go to an orphanage. What will eighth year, post-war trauma, mental health issues, Teddy, and complicated feelings towards each other bring Harry and Draco? A whole lot of angst, drama, fun and chaos, that's what.

After the war, Harry Potter has committed himself to rebuilding a world that once seemed so broken, but he never expected the most difficult challenge to come from an unlikely source-Draco Malfoy. With Draco sentenced to house arrest and community service, Harry finds himself tasked with keeping an eye on his former enemy, making sure he stays on the right path. But as Draco begins to show the good Harry always believed was buried beneath the Malfoy pride, Harry's protective instincts take over. As the two men navigate their complicated history, forced into uncomfortable proximity, their fragile bond grows. What starts as duty may become something deeper, and Harry realizes he might be willing to risk it all to protect Draco, even if it means facing his own heart in the process.
