10 years from today there is going to be a war that threatens to extinguish all life on this beautiful green earth. Nuclear warfare, greed, and stupidity loom ever closer to the brink of complete demolition. 30 years from the time half of what used to be North America is destroyed, the world has relapsed several centuries, all technology either destroyed or outlawed. Through the eyes of one troubled girl, the journey begins into a world that is hard to understand. She must fight to overcome the misery she sees and often feels, and also figure out what to do when threatened with the possibility of being shipped off to die with her newfound love, Lucca. Throw in an accident that left her with an unusual ability that may end up killing or saving her and she has a lot more than just one person can handle. But she’s not going in alone.

It is the year 2023, a new technology has been developed where citizens can make their eye color change according to their mood, and everyone is desperate for a change, five years earlier, a chemical storm destroyed everything in its path leaving a once beautiful city in ruins, and draining everyone of their eye color, leaving eyes a dull, lifeless grey with no shine or sparkle. But the price they pay will be high, are the willing to risk losing their minds, and themseleves, just for beauty?
