In a world where dreams hold real power, society revolves around the Dream Market, where people trade, buy, and sell dreams. Dreams are not just figments of the imagination; they're tangible objects with the ability to influence reality.
Serena Castillo, is a 17 year old, living in Somnium City, the capital of Verdania, dream trade center of the modern world.
In Somnium, at the age of 17, your dream ability is unlocked, allowing for the individual to become part of the, 'functioning society,' around them. Your social class, is defined by your dreaming ability, and there are three levels, anyone around you, can see your dream status. You are branded on your inner arm with either, one, two or three bars. The people lowest bars, are the highest up in society.
The dream assignment, is completely random.
