Following the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, a lone NCR ranger returns home to find nothing but a crater where his home once stood, once more having been consumed in Nuclear fire, some two hundred years after the last bombs fell.

With a brutal foe caked in red, looming on the horizon the hapless Ranger takes it upon himself to bring what semblance of order he can to a nation in ruin. However, not even he could see such a fruitless endeavour would send him down another path as he soon takes pity a woman, clad in a familiar blue jumpsuit, naïve to the true ways of the world.
