Helen Sharpe has been trying her best to simply keep her head above water. As a single mother of two teenage boys: she has to do all she can to not only keep them from burning their world down, but also find a way to rebuild her own. After accepting a new position at a Private School in New York City- she and her boys must learn to overcome not only their past, but allow themselves to be open to the future.

Max Goodwin is no stranger to loss. After several tragedies strike him, he has no choice but to keep his head held high to provide for his young daughter. Just when he feels life is going to keep kicking him in the ribs, I very quickly finds a new face offering him a hand up.

The only question is-will he take it?
