"Not a Myth." || Volume I [HIATUS]

This story is heavily based on the popular series by Rick Riordan, "Percy Jackson" along with his other novels titled, "Heroes of Olympus." tackling a more mature storyline.

Spring 2018, New York City, New York.

Volume I of, "Not a Myth." follows the story of Dante Córdoba, an 18 year-old boy who was believed to just be a, "weirdo" nearing his high-school graduation before the discovery of his godly ancestry where he had fled to a meadow on the outskirts of NYC after a raging argument with his mother.

After returning home, he finds his mother passed out drunk on the dinner table. Moments would pass and Dante had his bags packed and stuffed into the trunk of his car headed to his best friend, Omari Willis, a Brooklyn born 17 year-old in his senior year with Dante. Omari and Dante would then leave the city and flee to Acadian Forest in the New England region in order to find a camp of which Dante's godly father told him to seek. On the drive there, before the duo could reach the entrance of the forest, their vehicle would be attacked, leading to a fierce battle and the kidnapping of Omari.

The car being completely destroyed after being attacked along with Dante being seriously wounded in the fight, it was hopeless for the boy and he'd end up passed out in the forest he was attacked in. Waking up later in the bed of a strange girl, fate seemed to be in play. Dante was in a cabin within a camp which had descendants of Greek gods such as him, many of those being accidents due to the mannerisms of Greek Gods and not believing in consent. Banding a group together, Dante and them would set off on an expedition hoping to rescue Omari before anything happened.
