After a tragic accident hit the Uchiha clan during Sasuke's early teen years, the Uchiha decided to take a different route to ensure all power was in their hands.
One could say the power included turning the huge clan into blood-sucking vampires.
On the other hand, Sakura was also from a clan, The Harunos. She lived a very normal life until the Uchihas killed her parents and took her hostage.
The Uchihas deemed her perfect for their eldest son, Itachi, however something in Sakura couldn't keep her away from Itachi's younger brother Sasuke.
