It had been years since Adachi had seen Theodore or any of the smiling critters but what happened after the Ultimax Arena he was about to head back and visit his old friends once again against his will that is.  

Of course, I had to be brought back here...out of all the places damn it this is what happens when I stick my neck into things.

His face is mostly too "smiley" and freaks everyone out whenever they catch him in their sight. But above all else, he's too hard to approach. No one really knows what he's thinking. He's too mysterious. They don't know the first thing about him and his true intentions. ...But he was never trying to be part of any of those things. He would love to call them all his friends if they would let him. And yet, none of them are willing to try. Except for one. There only existed one other of the group he could reliably call his "friend." One quiet night, Catnap sits beside his best companion, Dogday. The two talk for a while until the feline says "I hope that one day, I'll be like the rest of you." Not expecting much out of the other through this one moment of weakness, Catnap sits in silence. He feels as though he shouldn't have said anything, until... "Why don't I help you?" The dog suggests. With his attention suddenly grabbed, he looks to the canine. After being thoroughly trounced by the Phantom Thieves, Maruki makes one last ditch attempt to break the theives, and kills Futaba. In his blind rage, Akira Kurusu, otherwise known as Joker takes matters into his own hands, and stops the mad God in his tracks. Time reverts to its original self, with Akechi dead and gone and Maruki and Futaba alive and well, and Akira in Juvinile Detention. After being freed from prison, he finds out that something went wrong when the timeline was restored. Futaba knows him not as her lover, but merely as his friend. Now Akira must find a way to cope with this new life in Hometown, while trying to juggle the return of the Metaverse, and Futaba tries to find her way through the complex feelings she has for Joker, but can't quite explain, as well as the dreams that almost feel like memories. Will she push through and recover her memories and her love? Or will she and Akira both fade into the Mementos of what they have lost. I took a couple liberties with events and the Timeline, but overall, I stayed fairly close to the original game's story. This is a passion project that sprung to mind while driving, and now I'm hyperfixated... Welp, time to churn out a book. ENJOY READING IT!!
