Bambi Draper, bungled up by her mother and shipped off to live with her recluse of a sister Connie in Tulusa Oklahoma. With her father missing and her mother trying to keep their lives out of the papers, her only decision is to send her precious daughter to another state to spare themselves from public shame. However Bambi has no intention on staying there any longer than a week. No way will she allow herself to stoop to such a low level and slum it with the shady, greasy and tarty characters of the streets. Bambi fights off the urge to befriend anyone knowing it will damage her reputation despite being the biggest no-one in a town full of nobodies.
