Marina Carr has just moved to a new state with her family.She starts school a week after moving into her new comfortable home. On her first day she already has a few friends because of her "unique" way of introducing herself to people. She uses that same technique when she was looking for more people to befriend and she spots the school player, Preston Cross. She asks him to be her best friend yet before he answers, the bell rings and she runs off without him knowing her name .She later learns that she accidentally dropped her lucky silver snowflake ring that Preston coincidentally picked it up. As he searches for his dream girl all he finds is dead ends.
