Amara is a 19 year old metalhead girl living in Hawkins of 21th century. She is a daughter of Maxine Mayfield. After what happened in 1986 everyone seems to hate people similiar to Eddie Munson because they think he was a killer. But Amara, thanks to her mom, knows the only cruel reality. Because of that she and her best friend Lionel will try to find a way on how to travel back in time, so they could save lives of some poor people and show others that reality is somewhere else. However the only person to get back to 1986 is Amara. She meets every single person who were friends with her mom and maybe finds love, faith and key to set her agony free in Eddie "the freak" Munson.
