"I don't know why I did it or how I did it, I just know that I killed Amanda Jackson." Kamsi is a 16 year old Nigerian immigrant who lives with her mother and aunt. After losing her sister as a result of her father's abuse, she faces trauma, which gives birth to an alter ego she calls Jean who kills anyone that might hurt her again. Kamsi has no memory of what Jean does. Her periods of consciousness become shorter and shorter, and she fears what will happen when Jean eventually takes over completely.
