Stolas, the Prince of Goetia, in his pain and misery, decides that if his heart is broken, he might as well break every single other part of him that might still be intact, his body, his spirit, no part of him matters any longer.

His love for his childhood friend and affair, who once was his impish little plaything, is so gutwrenching that he feels the need to hurt in other ways in order to survive, to ignore the constant pain in his chest.
